Organising Pamper Parties for Kids at Home

A misconception of pamper parties for kids is that it they aren’t age appropriate. There isn’t an issue with this, provided you only use age appropriate beauty products for the party. You could opt to use a specialist beautician to add to the occasion, but it’s not an expense you need, as there’s plenty of age appropriate products available for kids pamper parties.

Pamper parties, aren’t all about applying a ton of makeup, applying hair colouring, eyelash curling etc. but you will want to add a little touch of special treatments like feet massages and the likes. Perhaps even joining in the fun and showing the girls how to do them on either their own feet or their friends, letting them massage each other.

Accommodating guests at your kids pamper party

Before you get into the supplies you’ll need, you are going to need to consider how many guests you can accommodate. For kids pamper parties, it’s often going to be in the evening, although that is age dependant, and obviously optional, but for kids around 7+ years of age, they’ll probably want to have a sleepover.

A special pamper party in the evening, before the typical bedroom feast, storytelling, and jokes time is often expected, as much of a pain it can be on parents.

You will want to keep the numbers low, so that your lounge isn’t being taken over. That’s even more an issue if you have a son as well, as you may end up having to organise an all girls night, with your partner having to take your son camping, or a sleepover at grandma’s, requiring even more organising.
It’s much easier to consider the space in the bedroom to be used for the sleepover. If there’s only room for 3 or 4, then it’s better to let your daughter know that only 3 to 4 friends can attend.

You can make this even more special by tailoring the invites to V.I.P guest invites at your pamper party. That will break the ice a bit, since kids often want more than a dozen of their friends over for their pamper parties, and that’s not always going to be manageable.

Keeping the numbers low saves you money and a lot less stress when it comes to the supervision.

The supplies you’ll need for kids pamper parties

There’s only a few essentials you’re going to need for organising kids pamper parties. Some of which are listed below, although they’re not all essential. A few will do.

  • Snacks that grownups love – preferably not princess fairy cakes.
  • Readymade face masks
  • Some nail varnish
  • Plenty of face/wash cloths
  • Bowls of water for washing the face masks off – if you use them
  • Furniture protectors, to prevent makeup/nail varnish spillages
  • Some fancy dress outfits – tiaras, costumes, fake hair extensions etc
  • Party bags, even if it’s a sleepover
  • Accessories to create the perfect atmosphere – scented candles, girly music, perhaps gowns etc

The most important thing for organising perfect girly pamper parties, is in the preparation and planning before the event. From the invites going out to guests, getting them excited in the lead up to the party, then following through, by ensuring you have everything ready for the occasion.

Whilst the list above aren’t all necessary for a successful party the kids will love, you can have just as much fun with just a few of the accessories.

The main thing is that is the girls are altogether, having fun, playing with their false beauty products, which will ensure that there’s no nasty surprises for their parents when they go home.
