Building with Lego blocks is not only fun but also educational. Many parents get angry at their children because they make creations only according to the plans found in a Lego box. In response to that problem, Lego factory made new interesting systems, such as Lego Creator, where there are more plans included. In addition, there are sets of bricks, where only basic building blocks such as bricks are available or just tires or the roof elements. So you have many more options right away.
Before you start to make your own creation, it is always necessary to have a good plan – and, of course, a huge amount of Lego bricks. Lego bricks can be ordered in many websites. Also you can buy a variety of sorting cabinets with large and small drawers. Sorted in that way, you will always know where you have your bricks. Well, almost always. 🙂
Very common are the urban (City) creations. You can decide to construct the building in your surrounding area or just use your imagination. Many prefer to build fairy-tale castles. They may be clean gray or quite colorful. Gray cubes are of course cheaper, easier to get, and the result is that castles are usually assembled from them.
To create a classic castle size you need at least the 700-1500 blocks but for a larger fortification, you will need at least several times as much. When we made our own creations, we used about 15000 to 40000 blocks, but it is not uncommon to use even much more. When there are lots of smaller bricks used (size 1×1) for your creation, you can require up to half a million bricks. This on the end is also a big financial investment – but Lego bricks are forever.
